How should to make a JP Wedding memorable?

My best friend has finially decided to marry her live in boyfriend and the father of her child. They have been "engaged" for the 18 months of the child's life and will be going to the JP in a few weeks to make it offical. As her best friend as maid of honor I want to do something to make it special. I don't have much money driving the five honors to see her will take up a bunch of money by itself.

Any Ideas????

My friend had a small traditional reception at her house for me, with a small wedding cake, so we could cut the cake ect..  some punch and gifts. so sweet. It gave us a good memory to go with our blessed day. Or have someone take lots of up close pictures and make them a wedding album after the pics are developed

Well Definitely take A LOT of photographs.... and if you have the skill, making a scrapbook with the photos would be really cool.
