  1. I cry a little, but only because it is going to be a while before I see him again. It is like saying goodbye to the way of life that involves my husband for a little while. Doesnt bother my husband at all. I am going to be me and express my sadness when I want to. Not going to NOT cry for anybody.

Now, I have seen some WACKO wives, and I think as long as you arent trying to board the bus or take his bags away from him, you should be fine. Yes, I have seen it! The wives that tried to board the bus then tried to follow the bus. Lord have mercy. Please dont do stuff like that. Cry if you want to, or dont. Just be yourself and get through it with some dignity!

  2. be strong but a few tears never hurt

  3. its ok for the wife or mother or kids to cry if hes goin overseas but other than that hes just makin a living and servin the country...we need to respect and honor soldiers

  4. Tears are fine, but some women I have seen that completely flip out and freak out really need to tone it down as that is the worst thing for us to see before we head overseas. A tear is fine and normal,  if they are cheering and smiling that would get me worrying....LOL

  5. This is a good question. I am curious about the answers you will get. Unfortunately, men don't really think on an emotional level like women. If they do, it is considered weak by other men.

Use your cultural experiences with him to decide what is right for you. I wish you the best of strength while he is away.

  6. Tears are fine, but don't totally lose it.

I've seen some wives start to act irrational, like want to hold on to trash because it reminds them of their husband or have to have the absolute closest parking spot when they drop them or want to sell furniture so thier husband knows that no one else was at their house.

Yes, go ahead and cry and be sad - but remember that they will be back and life will go on. Don't go all wacko on them.
