Question:

How should we split the profit? ?

My brother has just offered to sell my entire collection of 'beano', 'dandy', and 'Simpsons' comics on ebay.

I have around 200 'beano' comics and about 100 'Simpsons' comics. We think we'd make quiet a good sum of money.

However, my brother wants to split the profit 50/50, because he says he has to pay postage and listing fees.

I can't help but think since I own every single comic, I should get a little more than 50% of the profit. My brother has a history of ripping me off.

Does anyone know what a reasonable split of the profit would be?

Thanks

  1. Any company I've ever worked for never exceeds a 25% sales commission. And since he is using eBay, which you could just as easily use yourself, I'm not so sure he even deserves that much.

To be honest, I wouldn't offer more than 20% (while taking the fees out of my own 80% share) but it really depends on how generous you want to be with your brother.

  2. On my own opinion,it should be 70/30..or u may ask him the receipt of all the expenses of what he is trying to imply to you. No OR no refund. but still it should be 70/30 after all it's your belonging not him.

I guess your right about your brother LOL

  3. You should leave to him a maximum of 30% commission including all his expenses. More than that is a robbery

    70/30 is an acceptable deal
