How should we worship the Lord? ?

Is it only about giving our talents? Or is it about His holiness? Must we be faithful and keep his words?

  2. In our own personal way.  Having said that I don't understand the concept of worship.  Relationship yes - worship no.

  3. You can worship in prayer; singing a hymn to the Lord; by telling God good things about Himself.  We don't want to look at being faithful to God as a chore or a burden.  We want to love Him for who He is and for what He's done for us on the cross.

  4. It is about giving Him our hearts. The talents are something He has given to us already and it is our choice to use them for His glory that matters.

    His holiness is evident as you become more intimate with Him. It will become part of your worship as you study the attributes of God.

    Works are a part of faith as a demonstration of a changed life and to fulfill the Great Commission.

    "Do not be mere hearers of the Word and so deceive yourselves but be doers also."

    Jesus set the example how we are to worship the Father just read it in the Bible love.

    The book of Matthew is a good place to start.

    Any all powerful creator would have no need to be worshipped by his creations.  That is a rather trivial quality, do you not agree?  Do you ask that your children bow down and worship you?

    It isn't our talents, works, and good deeds that make us righteous-it is our faith that makes us righteous.

    You can worship the Lord in all you do. Thanking Him for all that you have, your home, kids, car, job, etc. Just talking to Him and telling Him how good He is is worshiping Him. You can use your talents for Him-after all He gave them to you. Thank Him for that. The bible tells us in whatever we eat and drink, or whatever we do-do it for the honor and glory of God.

  18. There is no set formula for worshiping Him. It is all a matter of your heart. You can be worshiping Him simply by having a relationship with Him. That is all he really wants from us. Not our talents or things that we "do" for Him. Just love Him and you are worshiping Him... :0)

    God by singing hymns or songs of worship in church. Singing praise songs as well in church.

Is there a proper way to render worship unto God? -- If we read the story of Cain and Abel in Genesis chapter 4, we find that Abel's offering of worship was accepted by God, but Cain's offering was rejected by God. So there is a proper way to come before the Lord and worship Him; but how do we do this today? Jesus gives us the basic answer of how to worship God when He said: "But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." (John 4:23,24)

  23. John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

    We are to keep and do His word. Jesus says if you love me keep my commandments. He also says Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Matt. 5:48

    So that clearly states that we must live holy perfect lives but how you ask

    BY SURRENDERING OUR HEARTS AND OUR MINDS TO JESUS!

    Our natural mind is wicked and deceitful

    Jer. 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things...and desperately wicked who can know it

    Jer. 13:23 Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.

    WE ARE ACCUSTOMED TO DO EVIL

    But when we say Lord I give you my heart. I make a complete surrender then right then in there you are now in Christ. Old things are passed away all things become as new.

    And when your in Christ He does all the work for you. When He asks you Bob do you want my victory over cigarettes or alcohol then we must say yes Lord!

    WHEN WE ARE IN CHIRST HIS VICTORIES BECOME OURS!

    BUT

    YOU CAN BE OUT OF CHRIST!

    HOW DO YOU KNOW

    1 John 3:5 .....In Him is no sin

    So when you find yourself sinning you are not in Christ

    But when you realized that run back to Him and give Him your heart again and He will accept you!

Worship him with everything, He doesn't see talent or the best singer, so worship Him with your mind, instruments, or by singing, by just talking to him, or about him, by just being yourself.  To  worship is to pay great honor to God, you worship him when you honor him when you uplift his name and when you just believe in your heart that He is God. Talents are things that we use here on earth, for earth and although its awesome if you have them, God sees most the heart and the talent that you believe you have for him, you might be the worst singer here, but who knows if your the best up there.

    So worship on, sing for him, dance for him, talk to him, read about him, just feel his greatness rushing through your blood, your veins. Can you feel it?

  29. who is our lord? jesus?   read the sumerian tablets.. they were created far back before any religions... far back before any language ever written... understand where you come from..  the first culture ever were the sumerians dated back 6,000 years way before any bible was created.. and yet their stoned scriptures found have a more insight dipiction and clarity of who we are in this universe and where do we stand!
