How sick is society?

I asked this question because a man put his own suicide on the internet and really sick people watched on the net and urged him on.

Look, bear in mind this guy had been threatening to do this for 2 weeks! He did have mental health problems!

another thing to consider, the one who urged him on was a mate, thinking he was a having  a laugh! Sick laugh, but all the same a laugh In their eyes!

At the end of the day, it is sad that this guy has left his kids and other members of his family with this legacy!

The 1st suicide to be filmed on the web!

This was one sad guy who needed help BIG TIME!

I think that is a really sick and morbid thing to do. I think people obviously do it for shock value, but they know that other people will watch it....other wise we wouldn't be discussing the issue right now. People now a days seem to be desensitised to violence, and people are always looking for a new way to frighten people.

The Internet allows people the opportunity to put what ever they want, irrespective of where it is good or bad. But people also have the opportunity to report these dreadful websites. So I say report it to someone, before others get the chance to see this terrible and sad act.

a hundred years ago a public execution was considered a good day out for all the family.         Humanity is not getting worse, we are getting more sensitive towards what is wrong  and what is right, believe it or not we are becoming a more moral and social responsible society, though the media would have us believe otherwise. The evil and the saintliness always be with us.

I read about this in a tabloid but can't believe that something like this could have happened.  I wish it were something made up by the newspaper.  If it were real, then those who urged him on should be punished by being haunted by a bad conscience for the rest of their life. (I'm not usually a judgmental person but this is really too sick.)

It's not technically society, but when it gets down to it.

That is really awful!  My theory is that the world is getting too crowded.  I once had a biology professor that kept a 15 gallon jar in his office filled with small cockroaches.  (If you missed a test and had to make it up, he'd sit you down at the table with the cockroach jar on it.)  He didn't do it to be mean.  He said he was doing an experiment to see what the maximum habitation was.  There was no food or water in the jar.  Just the roaches.  When they got hungry, they would eat each other.  

My point is, the more crowded we get, the meaner we get.  Take road rage for example.  People become animals in their cars sometimes--nice people normally.  

We all need to treat one another with respect and fairness.  We need to stop patronizing these awful people who put out these horrible movies like Saw and so forth.  Those things desensitize us to violence, and we accept it as a way of life.

If you look on this board, you will find many examples of kindness and concern for your fellow man.  We all need to set an example of what society should be like, not just here but in our daily lives.

always see the positive things happen in society then society will appear hale & healthy in your eyes & dont forget you are also part of the society

Some folks are introverts (and don't want to be part of the world around them) while others are extravert's (and are coffee table dancers at heart). Neither condition precludes their propensity to become suicidal. It was only a matter of time before a coffee table dancer ran a flag up a pole. The Romans filled the coliseums, main streamers in Argentina flood the soccer fields, and people in America periodically flood the phone lines with orders for movies called, "Faces of Death." How sick are we? We're sick enough to turn morbidity into a competition instead of a call for compassion. Does this mean that we're consigned to be gunky little apes? No.

Every day is a choice. Many of you read this report and went out on the net in search of it. Why? Would you do it again? Are you practicing what you do want or what you don't?
