How sincere do you think that McCain's concern for possible Hurricane Gustav victims is?

Did the Republican learn compassion from the loss of 1,600 citizens to Hurricane Katrina or is this display of concern a calculated political ploy? What about McCain.s voting record-against further aid to Katrina victims every time?

  1. I think your question is far less sincere than McCains Concern about Gustav and you are waiting for answer which will back up what you already feel you know.

  2. Oh yes, let's blame Katrina all on the government and

not on the Mayor and Governor of La.   I don't wish

a hurricane on anyone but what did they do with all

that money they received, not just from the gov

but from the money raised by all these celebrities

as well?  Yes, I donated as well.

Sounds to me you're upset because him post poning

the RNC (as he should have) made him look good.

    And he is sincere.

  3. The very fact that the ENTIRE GOP is postponing their convention until this is all over and all is well should tell you something. Regardless of how it could affect McCain politically.

Did Obama or the DNC do that when tropical storm FAY pounded Florida FOUR times, killed several people and then caused massive flooding in several southern states?

    That's a big NOPE!

    NEXT!

  4. I dont know!  How can anyone, including you, possibly know that?  Besides, what good is caring with no action?

As long as he does the right thing.

It is simplistic thinking at best to look at a voting record and automatically assume he doesnt care without considering the reasoning behind that.

  5. It's definitely a calculated political ploy.  Nice try McShame.

  6. The Katrina people were/are victims of an entitlement mentality. They have elected and re-elected officials who have promised them--in so many words--that the gov't would take car of them. Albeit impossible for that to happen, they believed. Too bad for them. Anyone who did not evacuate is a fool. Nagin himself said so and I am holding him accountable when he tries to pin this one on the Bush Administration and/or McCain.

How much more aid could/should we give them? Their misery has been exploited for political gain, IMO.

  7. Dam how long are the Katrina victims going to ride this? How long? I know that it was awful in the first week it happened but after that they received what ever that needed and are still receiving. Get over it all ready.

  8. Good question!

  9. I think he's very sincere.  As far as these 'victims' go, you're right, they are victims.  They are victims of government dependency for most of their sorry lives.  My sympathy for them came to a screeching halt when they reelected Nagin, one of THE most incompetent Mayors on earth.

Thanks for letting me speak out on your anti-McCain rah rah rally.

  10. While I question the GOP's 'concern', I think McCain is sincere.

He is more Democrat than Republican, after all.

  11. McCain is far more concerned than Obama ever will be. When McCain voted against giving those "victims" what amounted to a free ride through life he was showing compassion for every tax payer in America. Why should I pay to support people who are too lazy to work?

  12. Oh he's lying through his teeth. you are a fool I am sure he cares for the people. You should be concerned with how the democrat Chocolate mayor is handling the storm
