How small is the smallest ?

anything smaller than planc's constant is too small for us to analyse. By relativity, there must exist an enity thats smalle than a known entity, thenby this logic it would be a never ending hunt in finding the smallest object.

in reality ,there cannot be an absolute standard for measuring length because anything can be smaller or bigger than what we know. What's this mystery in the universe ?

    Relativity has to do with the laws of physics being the same for all inertial reference frames and nothing to do with "the existence of entities smaller than known entities."

    You are right through no fault of your own though.  There is no "absolute" measure of length.  We measure length by comparing one "length" to another "length" so there is no absolute "one unit of length" or any c**p like that.  Still though, we can have STANDARDS of measuring length (or anything for that matter) that are universal to the scientific community and in fact that is how we come up with units of measurement.  

    For example if we ASSUME that the speed of light through a vacuum is constant (as Einstein did in coming up with relativity) we can measure units of distance by how long it takes light to cross them.  Since this is reproducible in any lab anywhere, so this gives us a standard of measuring distance.

    You didn't give any credence to what you meant by "bigger than what we know" so I'll similarly pay it no mind.

    Still to answer your question of "how small is the smallest" I have no idea.  From what I understand of string theory there is a lower bound on how "small" something can be but then again I REALLY don't put too much stock into string theory.  (For the nerds out there, I have my reasons for that.  I have no problem with assuming particles are membranes and not points, I do however have a major problem with theories that claim to "unify" things by ignoring where they don't mesh.  Still I haven't studied it formally {yet, but I'm not far off} so I don't carry my views on string theory too heavily)

    I guess you are right again in that one context.  What is that mystery of the universe as to how small is the smallest?  Who knows?

    EDIT:  Yeah I know I'm a bit of a jackass at times, but that was remarkably poor word choice on your part if that is what you meant.  Anyhoo, don't take it personally.  Have a wonderful existence my friend!
