It's not necessarily how smart you are but if you complete the appropriate schooling and academy.  Plus, you will have an evaluation.

Well where I live you have to go to college, which has a spelling requirement.  Even after going to college you have to still apply for a job and prove you are the best choice....so in other words your attempt to insult the police completely backfired.  Nice try though!

You don't have to be a genius, but police departments (and people in general) prefer intelligent police officers with plenty of common sense.
