How soon after George W. Bush leaves office will he be charged for War Crimes along with Cheney and Rice?

They certainly should be, but it is highly unlikely that they will be, particularly after the Bush adminstration comes to a much-needed close.  Even retired Major General Antonio Taguba, who investigated the Abu Ghraib situation, said, in a recent statement, "There is no longer any doubt as to whether the current administration has committed war crimes."  This is coming not from some liberal blogger, but a conservative member of the military establishment.  

And Millie, while it is certainly arguable that Truman committed war crimes by ordering the use of atomic bombs against Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the difference between then and now is that Japan had attacked the US.  Iraq had not attacked the US and was in no way an immediate threat, nor even a long-term one.

By launching an unprovoked invasion of Iraq, the US engaged in aggressive war, which, according to international guidelines that the US not only supported, but pushed for after World War II, is considered a war crime.  What is more, aggressive war is considered the worst of the war crimes, because it tends to lead to the others, such as torture and atrocities, both of which have been committed by Americans in Iraq in pursuit of an elusive "victory" that has yet to be clearly defined.

Please explain to me why wwll was considered patriotic when there were never actually any attacks on our main land [ the continental north america] and the war on terrorism is a war crime?? Forget about the WMDs our primary goal was to remove Saddam !! And end terrorism
