I always heard 10 weeks, all of my friends were not able to even go back to work for 10 weeks, even if they just sit at a computer. For a natural birth it is 6 weeks, but c section is longer.

lol!!! i did i had s*x about 2 and a half weeks after. i couldnt help it i wanted to so bad. and i had an emergency section too.  and it would probably be better to wait about 2 more weeks for hardcore exercise to to the insision. good luck

most people get a follow up visit to the doctor at 6 weeks.  At that time they can tell you if you can have s*x or not and when to start exercising.  Really you need to be careful about s*x and exercise so don't do it until the doc gives you the all clear.  Remember you have three layers of incisions and those two internal ones might take a while to heal.

8 weeks is when you should have a scheduled follow up appointment and at that time your doctor will let you know if you are cleared or not.
