  1. yes it should go down a couple of hours after birth it is just the eater retention from the baby.

  2. IMMEDIATELY!! YaY!! :D

  3. Increase the amount of protein you are eating now to reduce swelling during pregnancy and after. When you snack, snack on protein. This is a signal from your body that you have higher protein needs for yourself and baby. Also make sure to increase the amount of water you are drinking as this will also stabilize blood pressure and reduce swelling in pregnancy. Best wishes, G

  4. yes, immediately. thank god for that :]

  5. Yes and it does help if you drink enough water and avoid salt right now.

    Good Luck!

  6. My went away fairly  quickly, I want to say just a few hours.  My sister on the other hand (she also had an almost 10lb baby and she weighs 110lb) had swelling from the waist down for 2 weeks after giving birth.

  7. It took about a week for my ankles and feet to return to normal

  8. Yes, this should go away within the first 24 hours after birth.  Its amazing how quickly everything subsides.  The heartburn is gone immediately, the leg/hip cramps go away immediately.  Its wonderful!

  9. well my baby is four months old and i read a lot of your answers and i don't agree with a lot of them my ankles and legs were still swollen 1 week later but you can help reduce the swelling by  lying down flat and putting a pillow underneath you legs even try it just now i hope this has been helpful {mother of three} ps Good Luck x*x
