  1. The Doctors Like You To Rest For At Least 2 Hours After Giving Birth, Than, If You Can Stand On Your Own, You Can Shower When Ever You Feel You Are Able To. :) Hope All Goes Well, And Congrats!

  2. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!! don't know bout vaginal, but me & c-section was next day.  :)

  3. I was able to shower a few hours after my delivery, I had to be able to stand on my own. With my c-section I had to wait about 24 hours, maybe a little less.

  4. Usually right after you deliver you can shower, unless you had an epidural then you have to wait for it to wear off.

  5. You can take a shower the day you give birth if you want. As long as the Dr says it is ok of course.  I took one in the hospital the evening that I gave birth.  I had a natural brith (no c section or epidural) So I guess I can't really say what the Dr. would say if you had either of those. But if you had a vaginal delivery I would think as soon as you were comfortable with standing and moving around, then it is ok.

  6. as soon as u feel like u want to take one

  7. If you deliver vaginally then you can take one anytime you want. I delivered in one room and recovered in another, so as soon as I made it to recovery I took one (they actually recommended it so that I could pee, it was awesome!) If they don't have stools make sure you have your partner help you, they have railings but my legs were so wobbly after it was hard to stand

  8. as soon as you can get up and walk around ok. if you have an epidural they might make you wait because you will have a catheter in.

i was really weak and shaky after delivery (which the nurse said was common) so i didn't take a shower until the next morning. i delivered about 7:30pm.

  9. You can take a shower whenever you want. As long as you didn't have a c-section because then you just don't let the water run on your incision.

  10. you can probally take one as soon as you feel comfortable to take one tho i have to admit i devilvered at 9pm and didnt want to take one till the next moorning i only wanted to rest. But all should be well good luck with everything!!!

  11. If you had an epidural you have to wait till it wears off... other than that, as soon as your baby and placenta is out you can go shower.

  12. they usually let you take one after you're able to stand and walk on your own. they usually have stools in the shower though. they ask if you want one shortly after delivery, so no worries :) you can just ask them when you're in the hospital.

  13. You should be able to have one right away.  If you have an epidural obviously you won't be able to until you can stand on your own, safely.  this goes for other pain meds too.  Give yourself a bit of time with baby and shower away!  Hopefully the nurses will accomodate you with this.
