Wouldnt it be better if people worked on their emotional issues and cleaned up their lives, rather than jumping right back into the dating scene?

Seems everyone thinks that they have to start dating the second they are separated...its no wonder there are 80% divorce rates in the US, when people just jump from the pan into the fire and dont clean up their issues first.

My Mom didn't start dating seriously until about a year after her divorce, but even then she wasn't seriously looking for anyone. she just happened to meet my dad and he kept pursuing her. i think if she hadn't met dad, she'd have waited 2 or 3 years.
