I am in the process of miscarrying. My baby died at 7 weeks and it's about 2 weeks past that and my body is just recognizing it. I spotted for a few days. Now I'm passing small clots but the bleeding slowed down. I'm having tiny cramps. .

How long after your miscarriage did you conceive and carry to full term? Thank you. I would like some hope. This is my first pregnancy and my husband and I were so happy. It was unplanned but now since we know how it feels to be expecting we are going to try after my miscarriage.

Thanks.

  1. I would say take your time. After my 2nd miscarriage, we waited 4 months before trying and got pregnant very quickly. My body needed time to heal - both physically and emotionally. We're now 4 months along and everything seems good. Take care of yourself. It will happen sooner than you think!

  2. Oh, I'm sorry this has happened to you.  It is quite traumatic.  Drs. say wait awhile and let your body recover.  I got pregnant 9 months after the one I lost was due (12 weeks along).  Although I had 2 healthy kids before, I never stopped worrying that this next one would be okay.  Statistically, 1 in 3 pregnancies end in miscarriage, so really, it is quite average and normal and basically means that odds are for you next time.  I don't mean to hurt your feelings saying that, it is just science.  Be sure your dr. is monitoring your situation and that everything passes so you can heal up properly.  And keep your chin up, you'll most likely go on to have some sweet, healthy children.

  3. my friend got pregnant 2months after misscarrying at 2 and a half months

  4. i miscarried at 10 weeks 4 days back in dec of 2007 and it was the worst thing i have ever been through. whether you believe it or not you need to join a support group and talk to other people who have been in your situation or you could find yourself spiraling down. i didnt think i needed it but i still do and i still cry just as hard as i did when i found out. mine was unplanned as well but that really doesn't matter. i hear you are really super fertile after but i dont know from experience. unfortunately i had to have 2 d&c's because i still had tissue in there and got an infection. i didnt know until afterwards but my blood type is negative and my husbands is positive and i needed rohgam...besides the point...but i think whenever the man upstairs is ready for you to get pregnant again you will. as long as you are emotionally ready start when you prefer..good luck : )

  5. i miscarried at 6 weeks and was pregnant again in 2 cycles. i'm now almost 36 weeks, so it is possible and i hope it happens for you!

  6. my husband and I lost our first child to a tubal pregnancy.  I was 11 weeks along before it was found that to continue the pregnancy would kill me. Because of the medication that I had to take to protect myself and make sure I could carry my next pregnancy full term we were told to wait 6 months before trying to conceive again.  We now have two wonderful children and have begun the process ( we have to do fertility treatments) to have our 3 child.  Every woman is different in how her body works your ob should sit you down and talk to you about when the best time for you physically and mentally is to try again.  Good luck.

  7. I'm soo sorry for your loss. That just happened to me and my husband at 6 weeks in May. I was carrying twins and they would have been our first children together. My doctor recommend that I wait to have 3 normal cycles before trying again. But, he also told me that sometimes it just depends upon when your body to ready to conceive again. Nonetheless, when your body it will happen. Also, give yourself time to heal physically, emotionally and spiritually. I say that because I'm experiencing pregnancy symptoms again right now and it brings up those emotions all over again. I wish you the best of luck!

  8. I had an early miscarriage at 5 weeks.  I didn't have a period after and fell pregnant that month.  My due date was a month after the original due date.

I didn't carry to term though - I got to 35 weeks but they don't seem to think that is related.  My friend did the exact same thing falling the next month and went a week overdue
