How soon after spraining an ankle playing basketball can you do squats, calf raises, or other leg workouts?

i sprained it today, the outside right front part and the inside left back part hurt the most (the right ankle) i put ice on it and am planning to rest from athletic activity for a few days, but what about working out? it is very painful to walk right now, even with a limp

  1. Do not do any thing without doctor's permission.

    You will know when you are ready but need to get examined by a doctor, a follow up X' Ray or MRI may be in order.
