How soon after what is believed to be implantation bleeding, should I do an hpt?

I ovulated on 7/24. I had my IUIs on 7/23 & 7/24. 6dpo I experienced, for the first time ever, some brownish/pink discharge only when wiping. It only happened once that evening but returned on 9dpo & 10dpo, throughout the day. It has never been accompanied by cramping or pain. This is my 8th IUI and quite frankly the first time that I have had minimal symptoms. I've had more symptoms all the other months that turned out to be bfn's. I'm hopeful that this may be my month (again-this has never happened before) but I'm also afraid to feel too much. I did test this am (at 11dpo) and received a bfn (heartbreaking). When should I test again? Any advice or words of encouragement are welcome. Thanks!

  1. Implantation spotting does not occur so early it usually occurs after about 5  weeks of pregnacy when the actaul egg sack is formed and it is implanting itself into the Uterus. And unlike popluar belief it is very incommon to have implanation spotting thats why docs advise pregnant women to see  doc if they are spotting even slightly during pregnancy. The only way to know is to do a blood test it will give you definitive answer either way.

  2. doctors say that 12dpo is ideal to test for an accurate hpt :)

test tomorrow again or in the next couple of days...hang in there hope you get a positive, you can also ask a doctor online for free for advice and ask others going through similar situations, try fertilityties.com

    good luck!!

  3. i had implantation bleeding thurs -sat and took a hpt the next sat and got a pos.i thought i was getting my period 1 week early but had just 2 1/2 day of spotting and so the next friday (the day i was supposed to be af) didnt some i tested the next day!! good luck so i would say 1 week after your last spotting or the day after your missed period!

  4. You can do a HPT about 2 days after implantation bleeding occuring this will allow enough time for the HCG to build up. Good Luck

  5. I have read most people get a positive at 13 dpo (thats the average).  However, you can still be negative and be pregnant.

I am going through that now.  My doctor said I need to come in for bloodwork tomorrow because it is fairly common to get negative results and still be pregnant.  who knew?  :)

Test in 2 days and it is likely to be accurate.
