  2. the sooner the better. as soon as they are old enough to leave their mother they can walk on a leash. I strongly suggest obedience training. You have to stick with it but it can be very helpful. I remember they told me not to stop when the puppy decides to sit down you are supposed to tug on there collar and say "heal" if they try to pull away from you stop walking and make them sit. don't continue walking until you feel that they are ready to listen to you. and before you start to walk again say "heal" that word if paired enough with them walking beside you should teach them to walk at a steady pace with you by your side. good luck.

  3. As soon as they are big enough to go to a new home. You just let them get used to the leash gradually.Put it on them and let them drag it around ( you have to watch them of course) Then take them out and have some treats with you.Hold the leash and encourage the puppy to follow you and when it does, give it a treat and keep walking.Sooner or later the pup will balk and refuse to walk, but be persistent and just give the leash a gentle tug and say "Come on!" and keep up with the treats.Pretty soon, the pup won't notice the leash, and he will also associate it with getting to go for a walk and will be happy when he sees it.
