I am 13 weeks pregnant and I feel a bubbly movement near my sternum. Is that my baby? Or is it too soon to the baby?

  1. Well since its your second I would say you could feel movement about now, BUT your uterus is just now rising above your pubic bone, so thats not the baby you are feeling under your sternum...sorry :)

  2. I felt Emily's first movement at 18 weeks. I think it is common to feel it a little bit earlier than that too, so it very well could be your baby! My daughters movements felt more like a super light scrape than bubbles. Enjoy the nice soft movements while they last...before you know it your little one will be kicking you hard enough to keep you awake at night!

  3. Your sternum is far too high to be feeling the baby.  It sounds like gas or indigestion.  Also, while some women have said to have felt their babies around 14 weeks, it is rare or usually in women who have had babies before and know what it feels like (assuming this is your first).  You will start feeling your baby around 17 weeks or more.  Be patient - those weeks will go by fast and soon you will not be able to remember what it was like not to feel him or her wiggling around.  Congrats!

  4. i was 18 weeks when i felt the bubbly movements! that would be baby!

  5. way too soon to be your baby especially near your sternum. right now your baby is barely over your pubic bone. i first felt my son at 16 weeks which is early especially for a first time mommy. by 20-21 weeks i could feel him on the outside

  6. Very well could be baby.  I started feeling my daughter move around 15 weeks.
