I had breast reconstructive surgery on the 19th of August. Tomorrow my family is going to a water park, and my younger cousins will want me to go on the water slides with them... Is it safe to go? How long do you have to wait before you can go swimming again? Thanks.

  1. ask your doctor

  2. About 6 weeks.

  3. On reconstructive surgery, it depends on the material used and is it done by any licensed international recognised doctors. Most reconstructive materials advises from doctors not to do extensive martial arts where bo swings and sparring is done,, stuntman jobs like fire explosions act which can melt reconstructive materials, high temperature sauna or high temperature jacuzzi for example, ask your doctors for advises depending on the plastic compositions used. As for me I have read medical journals before but I personally have not felt it before, MJ knows some knowledge about reconstructive surgery heat and pressure allowed

  4. 6-8 weeks. You can still call the office and ask.

  5. Your not going to be able to do this over the week-end. It way to soon. You still have stitches and scars that need to heal. And I know from my own experience, you still have some pain. Why push it and go backwards. Maybe in a few more weeks would be a better time. Take care of yourself, this is one rough surgery.
