I've got an appointment to come off my birth control (on the pill- first Ortho Tri and now FemCon for 11 years now) next month. My question is- how soon after coming off the pill does the normal woman start ovulating? Also- in the "between time", does using other methods of birth control (ie. condoms) until you ovulate boost your fertilization?

  1. It can be immediate; all depends on the person. After 11 years it might take a you a few cycles for your body to adjust, but you don't need to use condoms or anything. Good luck!

  2. I have been off my pill for 6 months now and no luck yet!! It is different for everybody. Hope you have better luck and it happens quicker for you. I dont think using condoms between does boost your fertilization though, i read somewhere if you dont get a fresh supply of sperm it gets sluggish!! It said to get a fresh supply every 5 days.

  3. I got pregnant 2 weeks after getting off the pill. Good luck!
