How soon ?

how soon after you found out you were pregnant did you start buying stuff. im now 12 weeks and was thinkin of just startin to get little bits vests ect. i dont plan on buyin the big stuff, pram cradle, cot ect until at least 5 months. do you think this is still too soon

The main thing is you need to love your baby from the depth of heart and start teaching good things. How you can do is toadopt good habits, be nice with others and your self positive. You will feel better and better. Take health food too for nutrition of baby. You can consult doctor for this

Congrats! If you want to start buying, then go for it. If you've had a scan and all is fine there is no reason not to!

I know people who have been really scared to buy anything until the last minute 'just in case' then the baby has come a bit early and they've been totally disorganised!

There is a lot to buy so you might as well start early.

Hi I was told not to buy anything after 12 weeks either but I didnt listen because at the end of the day if everyone thought that something bad was going to happend you wouldnt get anything until the baby actually arrives so, if you want to go and buy something then do, after my 12 weeks scan me and my hubby went to asda and got some baby vest in unisex colours for our son and then went and got loads more after my 20 weeks scan when we found out what we were having and now we have loads of clothes lol.

Congratulations and its great buying clothes but just ignore people who tell you its too early etc its your baby and pregnancy.  you do what you want to,

someone said to me that we dont want to get the pram to early, I am 7 months gone so why not? I just dont listen to them.

Wait? NO WAY GIRL!! This is your pregnancy!! Enjoy every second of it!! If buying little vests makes you feel closer to your baby by all means do it!! I know some people are very weary about buying things too soon for fear that it might be sad to see if you lost the baby but if you don't have a high risk pregnancy then just do it!! It's never to early to be giddy about your baby! Congrats!! Can't wait to be in your shoes!! :0)

think i started after my 1st scan with my 1st baby, after my 20week scan when i found out it was a boy i went out and bought everything i could see, my son weighed in at a healthy 9lb 140z and nothing bloody fitted him as i had bought all new born and 0-3 month stuff! had no indication from midwifes he would be so big either, i would stick to scratch mitts and bottles cos even the newborn nappies i had bought just about fitted him! good luck and enjoy your pregnancy and your shopping sprees x

I have almost everything and I am approaching the 19 week mark, although they expect me to go into labour at 33weeks.

I started early about 12 weeks or so.

I have never been in that situation, and probably never will. But I would do a lot of window shopping and if there's something really nice I would buy it. Otherwise I would wait for the Sales.

(I once bought a pram, cheap one, to get a rather big Microwave oven from the Sales home. Couldn't wait for the free delivery 7-ish days later)

i bought my first item of clothing at 12weeks then when i had my 20week scan,i bought some more..then when i got to 30weeks i went and bought something each week cot,bedding,nappies,pram..etc..i would say enjoy buying stuff because it soon goes and you will have your precious bundle and no time to shop..lol..good luck hope all goes well.

We waited till after the third month ..and then had to cancel the cute pushchair i had put a deposit on ...when i told the lady she looked concerned i wanted to cancel and then said ...its TWINS we need  a double !

you should do what is be for you you sound like your so excited and so you should be my wife started shopping straight away she could'nt help herself lol ..every minute of your pregnancy should be documented you should go out and do what pleases you it is so exciting  to get little things even if it is just baby mitts or botties  the bottles silly little things but it makes it feel alittle more real
