I live just south of New Orleans in Terrebonne Parish.  We took a direct hit.  I to am anxious to see what happened to my house if I even have a house left!  Mayor Ray Nagon said for people in New Orleans might be able to go back as soon as Tuesday afternoon.  May God be with us and good luck!

Go to your parish web site hopefully there will be a link that will say when you can go home. Worked for lafourche, but there should be a better system in place.

How soon Gustav evacuees return to New Orleans will depend on the amount of damage the storm leaves.  It looks like damage will be minimal.  They should be allowed back in the next couple of days.
