How stressful is it to work in a firehouse?

The stress at my current job is killing me. Literally.

I am a waiter and I hate it. My restaurant is extremely busy and its non-stop stress for 10 hours. Rarely get a break..if I do it will be for 30 mins. I'm constantly hungry and always on the move.

I am under the impression that working in a firehouse is a lot less stressful than working a 10 hour shift as a waiter in a busy restaurant where I am constantly on the move and rarely am given a break to eat.

I did some emt clinical rotations at a firehouse and it seemed to be VERY laid back.

Any other insights on the matter?
