How strict are the age restrictions on the Disney Cruise?

Not for getting into the adults only areas- I'm not stupid. I'm talking about the stuff that sounds more like recommerndations, like 8-12. Could my sister go in the Oceaneer Club(3-7) easily if she's eight? Could I go to the Oceaneer Lab with my sisters if I got bored if I'm 14? Could I sneak my eleven year old sister into the teen club to use the internet? Also, if you were a teen that went on the Disney Cruise, did you really hang out in the teen club Aloft or The Stack? How did you like it?

  1. well when i went the employees let my 12 year old cousin into the teen club so she could stay with me but idk if they do that for everyone. just ask them when you get there. i didn't really spend that much time there anyway, i thought it was kinda boring and i spent most of the time exploring the rest of the ship

  2. In my experience, cruise ships are strict about the age groupings.  This was on Carnival and Holland America Line, but I think it's a general liability/training consideration so applies to all the lines.

    Sorry for the bad news!

p.s. If you're up for sharing pictures/stories from your trip, you can get a free Cruise Journal at http://www.cruisesavvy.com/journals I'm sure a lot of people would love to hear about your experience!

  3. lm not sure

  4. My first cruise was on The Disney Cruise...it was at the time, the best time of my life!!!! I was 15 and made friends with everyone even a little "spring fling" at the time...I loved it there's alot to do, only saw my parents pretty much at dinner, in the cabin room, and the shows at night  b/c I hung out at the teen center most of the time!! Did all the activities (scavenger hunts..dances..shore excurstions..and all sorts of games) at the center ...it was sooo much fun. I had my brother with me too who was 14 and he had fun too! One of the best vactions i've been on!

As far as sneaking people in im not too sure if you can I  remember a group of older kids trying to sneak in and the employees not letting them in! And I also remember parents trying to come in but in a joking kind of way the employees kicked them out too! LOL... Enjoy and have fun!! I know you will!!!

  5. I'm 15 and I went on the disney cruise when I was 14 and my sister was 11. You can pretty much go into any of the kids places, they are not actually going to kick you out. But you might get some weird looks. But I dont think that you would have very much fun in the little kids room. I never went to the Stack. On your first night they put an invitation outside your door for a "get to know ya" party, and some of the activites that were scheduled (which I read about in the newsletter you get every night) sounded kinda fun, but to tell you the truth, I was having more fun just doing whatever on the ship with my sister. Since she was too young for the Stack, and I was too young for the Oceaneer Lab, we just hung out together, swam, ran around the ship, saw movies, ate ice cream, and had a good time.
