umm i think its a t.s but its definetly gonna be a hurricane ..

cat2 or 3 when/if it hits LA itll turn into cat 2 or 1

You have the location right.  As of right now (approx. 5 pm Friday Eastern time), Gustav is just east of Jamaica.  As for its strength, all day long it's been right on the bubble between tropical storm and hurricane.
