  1. A fully grown turtle is capable of holding a load of approximately 12 tons, only the toughness is not the reason, the reason is also the bowl shape which adds the strength as per the mechanical laws and the fibrous construction further strengthens the shell

    tell the previous answerer he is full of it - 12 tons? where did you get that info and who took the measurments?

  4. They're bone... depending on the size of the turtle, about as thick as your skull... can that sustain any of those stress tests?
