Paintballs don't hurt , and yes most likely. Now if you take a Angel market put it up to 1900psi and load up some marbels that will go through like butter.

sail material is Dacron / Mylar.  standard paint balls won't go through.  By the way hang gliders are actually sophisticated aircraft NOT rickety contraptions my Talon 2 is stressed for 6G's positive and only weighs 73 pounds. hang gliders are subject to all laws so if you shot at a pilot and something happens it's a federal offense.
