How strong is the acidity in stinging nettles,I got stung and the pain did'nt ease off for 30 minutes?.

  1. not that strong. i mean it very rarely kills.

    stop thinking about it and the pain will go awya. if not use cream or saliva or contact a doctor.


  2. Formic acid is present in stinging nettles and has a pH of 2-3 which is slightly a stronger acid than vinegar (pH of 3). The burn shouldn't last long. I myself have found my self in a patch of stinging nettles ....I don't wear shorts anymore when going through the woods.....
