Question:

How strong is the femur joint?

I know that bone is much much stronger than concrete, i know that the femur can hold ap to 2000kg of weight from a vertical force, however the femur is hollow filled with marrow . The joints of a femur are not hollow there for making them incredibly strong.

I have smashed them with sledge hammers on concrete with no damage done to the bone but the concrete shattered and i was wondering how much force in kg or lbs needs to be applied to break a femur's joint...

Thank you )
