How strong will the US dollar be at Year's end?

How strong will the US dollar be compared to CDN dollar at the end of this year? (ie $1US = $? CDN)

Can any finance professionals out there make a prediction?

Probably not.  The further into the future you go, the more difficult it is to make an accurate prediction.  Especially since you want to know the relative value between the currencies.

The dollar may fall, but the Loon may also fall a proportionate amount.  After all the, the US is a major trading partner with Canada.  So American economic woes may start to creep north to Canada.

Overall, it is safe to say the dollar will stay weak until the FED decides inflation is out of control and interest rates start rising.
