Currently I am in the U.S. Army and I was thinking of joining the Border Patrol when I get out, in a couple of months, but I needed to know more about it. How structured is a entry level Border Patrol Agent's life compared to the Army? What is the likely hood of me getting a position at the airport in Dallas? Does the pay really shoot from $35,000 to $70,000 in 3 years? Excluding danger and being in a organization that's generally disliked, why else would someone not like this job? Thank you

  1. Border patrol=terriable, If u were in a active (combat) branch in the army go to law enforcement,

  2. Im gonna be honest with you,  the likely hood of you getting Dallas are slim to none. The pay does jump as much as they say but in all honesty, you'll start of by making more your first year. Some people might dislike this job because of the town you might get sent to, that and the paper work. If you want more info on this subject  check Delphi Forums.
