How stupid does McCain think we are?

Picking a woman as a VP in a desperate attempt to get distraught Hillary voters. I am going to have to agree with my father and say that McCain is a Trojan Horse.... I can't possibly imagine that a candidate who wants to be taken seriously would make such an obvious attempt....

Does he really think that women are going to vote for LESS rights for themselves?

I mean.... Come on....

  1. It's only the libs that have an issue with her being a woman. I could care less about that. She is a strong conservative. What happened to all that "glass ceiling" breaking you were so happy about earlier in the week?

  2. his VP choice made my mother(a stubborn clinton supporter) furious.

like i said before he thinks we vote on body parts instead of policies

  3. wow i was thinking the exact same thing, probably the res of the country is too. but on the side note, i think she is really attractive..in a non L*****n way...

  4. Oh, I think you underestimate him and he will have the last Hooray! It was a brilliant move and strategy. Checkmate to Obama!

  5. Let's see now; Palin's husband is a union man, her son is a soldier, SHE IS A WOMAN, Nah, I guess McCain didn't know what he was doing, DUH!

  6. The distraught Hillary voters weren't going to vote for Obama anyway, so what is your point?

  7. this wasn't as much for women as it was for the fundamentalists

palin is a pro-life creationist, just what the "agents of intolerance" wanted

  8. It's hard to say, but if you are any indication.....he's definitely underestimated just how stupid some are.

  9. I think that he thinks the hilary supporters will join him, and they are,a nd he knows that, so he's trying to get on their good side. But you should really be mad at those ladies, whoa re voting for McCain just because, hilary isn't a candidate anymore.

  10. A stroke of genious.  Anybody dumb enough to be for Hillary in the first place will jump at the next available female candidate.  McCain will probably pick up 17,999,999 votes with his great selection.

  11. That could be partly the reason, but also he's trying to win over conservatives who are unsure about him. She is a strong anti-abortion and anti-g*y marriage person. This will definitely help him to win people over.

  12. Yeah, what up with these politicians thinking that women belong in politics!

I agree with you and your dad and I think the Republicans should take a lesson from you democrats and keep the girls in lesser positions like maybe just making posters and leading mindless chants at pep rallies.

That's where they are most useful.

Way to keep them in line obama!

    You da man!

  13. Obviously your pretty d**n stupid judging from the fact where maybe just MAYBE he didnt choose because of gender maybe he chose because she is a good running mate?

  14. He thinks he made a slick move, and he thinks we are all stupid.  I can't vote for anyone who is anti minimum wage.

  15. Agreed.  Figures he would pick a woman.  I dont understand why so many people are blind to why he has done this.  He wants Hillary supporters. There are also some people out there that just want to see a woman president and these are the people that will vote for McCain.

  16. Yeah. Its pretty sad.

"Hey...were running against a black man. We need something different....something NEW.....A women! That'll get them. Nice thinking Romney!"

And yet they talk about Obamas inexperience, but this lady has served ONE year as governor.  If he picked Romney it would just be two "Old rich white guys". Just shows McCain is desperate for something different to have a chance against Obama in the general election.

  17. I know, if the american public settles for McCain b/c he settled for a female VP as his only choice, then we're even more stupid than I thought.

  18. I think that it was one of the most ignorant moves I have seen so far during this campaign. And there are been several of those.

  19. Don't be so lame..In your twisted little mind, it's a bigger picture than getting lost hillary children....McCain all the way !

  20. It's not about stupid it is about smart.  If McCain had left a huge part of the Republican base disaffected and Obama could with his VP pick swoop up some part of that disaffected base he would have and you would be crowing about how smart Obama was.  The tables turned and now Obama looks like the fool for snubbing Hillary and her 18 million cracks at the glass ceiling and McCain the genius who brings in someone who fits his base's wishes and meets the desire of a disaffected democrat base.

54% of the those who voted last election were women.

  21. There are women who will, but people have to offset that and not vote for McCain. When my cousin and I [both girls] saw that McCain picked a women we smelt a trap. It is just a way to lure women into voting for him.

  22. 'Ol Johnny Boy doesn't think we're stupid.  He thinks we need a woman as a VP.  It's a pretty good idea (given that most of America doesn't over analyze it such as yourself).  Feminists would rather have a powerful woman they don't like leading them than a powerful black man they do like leading them.

  23. I think Bary and Joe have bought the farm..they might as well throw in da towel and go Dutch ..as John McCain and Sarah Palin are whipping

  24. He picked an incredible conservative.  Only libs are whining that she happens to be a woman.

  25. So you think picking a pro-life social conservative is a ploy to trick Hillary supporters?

Sarah Palin soothes the conservatives, and draws a handful of moderate women who see her as a great role model and ceiling breaker. They only need 3-4 % of women to win the key states.

  26. Obama screwed up by not picking Hillary. After what the dems did to Hillary why would any woman want to admit she's a democrat?

  27. Do you suppose that B.O. paying off Hillary's campaign debt has anything to do with him wanting to bring Hillary voters over to his side? And she is doing it even though it just about kills her.

Start playing " That's Politics" and both sides, any side, and all sides do what they can to get votes. The word " Pander" does not have an R or a D behind it. They all do it.

    I mean... Come on.

  28. The sad thing is...he knows some of them will.  McCain is trying to switch the subject.  The Democrats have a candidate that is intelligent and not afraid to stand up to McCain and company's lies.

In recent weeks the draft issue has come up and McCain can't answer a simple question like "how many houses do you have?"  Republicans need to drop the "Maverick"  description.  He hasn't been that McCain since he decided to run for president.

Is McCain trying to forget about national security, jobs and health care? What about Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran and the Georgia/Russia issue? We're back to the Republicans'  favorite wedge issues for the brain dead: g**s, guns, stem-cell research and abortion.

Who cares about experience! She's a woman, a mom and is pro-life... Yeah!!!!!

    DRAFT REPUBLICANS FIRST!!!

  29. You are correct....that is exactly what he was thinking and it is going to backfire, but the mainstream news will try to make it look close and that everything will be to close to call.  McCain thinks women are stupid and will ONLY vote because there is a woman on the the ticket, what he doesn't realize is that the women were voting for Clinton because she was a familiar face and the strongest woman for the job.  This is definitely an act of desperation to get some women voters and the attention off of Obama speech to 38 MILLION VIEWERS last night.  I feel sorry for any "Hilary Supporters" who actually vote for McCain because you have been DUPED!!

Obama is going to win in a landslide!!!  Obama 08

  30. Right.

And Obama gives a c**p about Hillary supporters votes?

At least McCain is trying to keep us happy .... something Obama screwed up on.

Obama should have chosen Hillary .....

And then we might have chosen him for president ....

    McCain/Palin 2008

    Hillary Clinton 2012

  31. A month ago I pointed out, to the chagrin of many here on YA, that Obama had no choice but to choose Hillary to get the votes. But in his inexperience he did not! Also I pointed out that McCain had no choice on this wise but to also choose a female VP, and I even suggested Sarah! It is not cheating that McCain has the political savvy to pick the obvious winning course both for himself and for America! For Obama's positions to be blown around by every wind while he learns politics, is to be expected, but not voted for. As top administrator of rough 'n ready Alaska, Sarah has proven herself. Regards, Larry.
