How successful is screen t-shirt making?

i want to do it, but i don't know how much it costs to get started and like how much ill get from customers?

I don't know. I get a lot of my stuff online, and that is something you will certainly have to compete with. Places like Cafepress.com are pretty popular, so an internet business may be a good idea.

I'm not sure how much it would cost to get started, but screen printing on a small scale isn't that hard, i did it in high school, it's fairly easy. The only problem is that the printing usually does not last very long.

Also, if it helps. I'm willing to pay about 15-20 dollars for a custom t-shirt.

I hope you think long and hard about how you are going to do it before you dive into it. It could be a huge success, people are always looking for custom shirts (myself included) but you may be beaten out by those who have been established longer.

I like seeing kids thinking about the future.  Good for you kid.

I would definately buy your shirts, provided they're not stupid.  I don't know much about costs, but obviously you need the big iron press thig-a-ma-jig.  Don't burn yourself!  How much could that be?  Maybe $500?  h**l if you just want to get started, you can use your mom's iron!  Then you need to make your transfers.  You can do that on your computer and iron-on paper.  

The hard part is figuring what to put on a T-Shirt.  Be creative or funny and you'll do fine.  Buy some T-shirts, and put your print on em, and sell them to your friends.

Everybody starts somewhere.  I bet you could actually get a little business started for less than $75!

I agree with Adam S. Think really hard and by the way may I suggest that you opt for accessories like ear rings, chain, bracelett, anklet instead, need not much capital.For a start sell to your family and friends and try to get their referral. Good luck!
