My 8 year old son has just told me that he wants to take me out for dinner for mothers day.

He has saved £40 (money he earned tidying his room) to pay for it.

It's the first time that he has actually decided to do something for mothers day.

My baby is growing up!!!!

That is so sweet but I'm only 13 and that is sooooo sweet last years mothers day had gone on vacation with my family and I had bought something from Florida were we had VC at and it was a charm to go on her favourite necklace.

  2. my 9yo son manned his own Christmas stall selling his old toys last Christmas and took more than everyone else put together that day

he was really chuffed with himself

he then bought us a really super present - a carved nativity scene that lights up - out of his own money and then colluded with grandma to hide it at her house until Christmas - all without us having the slightest suspicion he was up to something either

    bless him!

and yes he was really thrilled at being able to take responsibility for his own stall - his was opposite mine where i sold one card all day that day!
