  1. wow 18 feet already? yeah they are now Trees, some hedges can grow into trees, and how tall would depend on the type of tree it is.

  2. depends on the variety really.  If it is invading your yard or unsitely and you live in city limits you may want to play that card. Maybe offer to trim them for your neighbor they may not be able to do it anymore.

  3. very tall

  4. They will grow as large as trees if they are not kept cut. Ask your neighbor if they need help with getting them cut. Then offer to do it for them, or find them a person to cut them.

  5. mine is forty foot high

  6. I have a friend in this regard is very understanding. He horticultural aspects are very understanding. He has a blog is devoted to this area. You can get him to exchange.I think you will certainly be able to get a satisfactory answer. The address is #tallloving.com#.I wish you good luck.1-1

  7. go to any council estate and you will see for yourself

  8. When they reach the clouds climb to the top and look for the giants Castle....

  9. Depends on the plant species.  Ligustrum can get to 15 feet, siberian elm to 30 feet, I don't know about boxwood...I'm guessing 12-15 feet and hollies........well, they are truly trees to start.

Depending on the species you can cut them back to the ground or you must leave a couple of inches stem.  Last fall we cut back a siberian elm hedge that got to 12 feet tall.  We took it to the ground and now, in July, it is up to four feet.  It should have been cut back several times this year to make a denser hedge but this was an experiment.

Aside from being lazy, could be the neighbor wants a higher privacy screen.

  10. dont know . depends on what it is   ,  what plants,  Local councils sometimes have local bye laws about height of hedges etc,  Might be worth asking
