  1. it depends what company you are trying to get into. most companies don't mind but some do. just remember that you can't be too tall cause you need to be shorter than your partner. it looks really weird if you are taller then you partner in a pas de deux. it also makes it harder for him to lift you. the main thing is that you can dance. that you technique is outstanding and that you can perform and show it! you will have a lot of hard work ahead of you! good luck and happy dancing! =)

  3. you should be in between 5'2 and 5'8.

    Some companies look for more towards 5'2 while some look for taller dancers. It depends, but thats the general range.

  4. Some companies want tall ballerinas, others want shorter ones. Usually the shorter the better because then they're easier to lift and for some reason male ballet dancers are usually on the shorter side.

    Its not uncommon for a 5'9" female ballet dancer to be turned down because of height.

    Like another answerer has said-I think it would be 5'2".
