How tall do you think I'd be by the age of 21?

I'm gonna be 16 this month.

I'm currently 5'8.

My mum is 5'5 and my dad is 5'6.

I'd like to reach an adult height of 6ft at least.

You reckon there's a chance?

Thanks.

  1. There is no SURE way to tell how tall you are going to be and your parents height doesn't determine your height. My dad's 6'0 and my mom's 5'4. I'm 5'2 and stopped growing when I was 14. Now I'm almost 18 and still short lol. But if you want me to guess on your future height I think it will be 5'10. I have a younger brother that is close to your age and he is like 6'0 now and growing only a little. Also I have an older brother that was your same height at that age and thought he was going to be tall and all then just grew to 5'10.

  2. Probably not more than 5'10. Your parents are not tall and you are probably done with most your growing so it's doubtful you will reach 6'0.

  3. just what i want too, I am 16 next month, 5'9 and want to reach 6 foot.

You have another 4 years of growing left, so it is likely you will gain another 2 inches or so taking you to about 5'11

who knows, maybe you will reach 6 foot, just eat protein foods and stay healthy with exercise etc and it will be all good.

Genetics determine how tall you will be so seeing you are taller than your parents, you may nto grow much more, but it is likely you will.

    good luck

  4. 5'11 you won't make it to 6.

  5. You're done growing if you're that age and your parents are that short. Usually people stop growing at 16 unless they had a growth spurt later.

Don't worry though, my est. adult height is like 5'7.5. So just be happy the way you are and the girls will find you s**y.

BTW 5'8 is only 2.5 inches below the national average, and that's the height of Tom Cruise.

  6. Yea, there's definitely the chance for you.

  7. 6 feet tall!

  8. Doubtful if you are pretty far along in puberty. Most guys are finished growing in height by age 17 or 18.  While you get genes from all grandparents, given the heights of your parents you will do good to get another 2 inches.

  9. Yeah I think you'll get to at least 6'0".  If your dad is 5'6" and you're already taller than that and you're not fully grown, I would think you would get to around 6'1" or a little taller.  :)
