Subtract 3 inch. from the father, and add that amount with the height of the mother.

Then take that total and divide by 2.

In this case it would be: Mom - 5'1 __ 5' 5"

If you measured her at the age of two, double it.  This is the best guess, and it is only a guideline.  Nutrition play a bigger role than Genetics.  Look at the young Korean ppl compaired to their rents.  A change in Nutrition is THE reason.  My sister (getting her PhD at Harvard) told me that some Scandinavian group is studying the effects genetics vs nutrition.  Their initial find is that a certain combination of neutrients can make the children grow by affecting the amount of growth hormones from the pituitary gland.  To test this theory, they are going feed the children of very short people, the combination of nutrients that they think is the key.  If they are correct, the children should grow to six feet despite the parents being only "average height" by international standards (men at 5'9").

It is IMPOSSIBLE to guess a variable trait of an individual offspring based upon the characteristics of only the parents.  You can only guess the probability of descrete characteristics like hair color, eye color, etc.
