  1. There isn't really a 'standard' in the monorail world, most systems still being rather 'one-off' and bespoke. But as a general rule, the track height of a straddle beam passenger monorail system would be around 20-30 feet / 6-9 metres through built-up areas, while the train height (including skirt) would be around another 12-15 feet / 4-5 metres. Total ranging from 30-45 feet tall, then, with a train on.

    Suspended systems with the train hanging below the beam would, for obvious reasons, need to have a higher track.

    And then industrial monorail systems within factory complexes, for example, can be any height that suits the need.
