  1. My Everest The World's Tallest Mountain. At 29029ft (8848m) Everest is the highest mountain in the world

  2. today it is 29,029ft  since it is being lifted up by the Indo tectonic plate  sliding under the asian plate next year it will be even taller as few inches .

Now what I am wondering about is.. will the Mantle be able to support

the Mass of the Himalayas ... Talk about weather changes LOL

  3. 29,029 feet or  8,848 meters

  4. the tallest mountain in the world is mount everest [8848]metres or 29,029 feet

  5. Well above sea level its Mount Everst 8848 at meters. But the tallest is Mauna Kea which half of is underwater the full height is about 1000 meters (dont know in feet)

  6. It depends on how you measure.

Everest is the tallest from sea level... and if the earth were a sphere, it would be the tallest by all accounts.

However, the earth is oblate...in other words, the diameter of the earth is greater at the equator than thru the poles.  Therefore, if one is looking for the point on the surface of the earth that is furthest from the center of the planet, if one went to the top of Everest, they'd be in the wrong place.

The furthest point from the center of the earth is atop Aconcagua Peak in  South America.  At approx, 22,840 ft, it is the tallest mountain above sea level outside the Himalaya Range.  However, as it is very close to the equator, the difference in the diameter of the earth between Aconcagua Peak and Everest is more than the 6,200 foot difference in their heights above sea level.
