How tall should my friend be?

Question

my friends internet does not work, so she told me to ask this question.

my friend is 13 and she is 5'5". she wants to be at least 5'7" or 5'8".

how tall do you think she should be?

if she is more taller, would it improve her swimming?

and would she be able to learn gymnastics?

she wants your help!

What is the height of your friend's parents? If your friend's parents are tall, she is more likely to be tall.

Has your friend already gotten her period? How long ago? If she hasn't started, or did just recently, she is more likely to grow more. If she started back when she was 11, for instance, she is less likely to grow much more.

Check the heights on the Olympic gymnasts. (Shawn Johnson is 4'9"!) It is definitely an advantage to be small if you are a gymnast. You don't have to be tall to be a swimmer, but the best sprinters tend to be pretty tall.

I think 5' 5" is tall for a 13 year old.  I'm 15 and 5' 4".

I dont think she should be any specific height, she just is what she is.

If she is taller it might help her swimming, but not that much.

Also if you are taller it is harder to do gymnastics. It is easier if you are small so you can flip yourself around and balance yourself well.

idk if height really matters if u got the speed then u can go far. i am like one to the shortest person in my team but i do have speed so i can keep up with everyone on my team. =D and i like that cuz people don't realy think that i do swimming but hey idk what they say! lol =D

She'll probably grow a few more inches in the next couple of years. in swimming the length of your arms and legs can affect how well your times are. one could have the exact same seed as their opponent but win the next race because their arms are longer. It also helps because you can move more water during your stroke.
