Question

Yeah I posted this yesterday and no one answered so .. I'm asking again.

I'm about 5'8 15 turning 16.

My mom is really short she's like 5'0 maybe shorter.

My dad was about my height maybe a tiny bit taller

Everyone on my moms side of the family is really short

except my grandpa [ on my moms side ]

but since hes older he's shrinking so hes a bit shorter then me

he might have been my height when he was younger.

I don't really know my dads side of the family since he wasn't around.

Anything would help seriously.

And what are some good way to get confident about my height because all my friends seem to be shorter than me lol.

I reached my peak height when I was 16. I am all of 5'4" but I never grew anymore after that age. I'd say you are done growing, maybe another inch but I doubt anymore than that.

I got the same problem.

I'm 14 going on 15. and I'm 5"8.

Majority of my best friends are maxium 5"2. So It's hard to take pictures with them because I have to get really low down for them.

And I have one tall friend, it's like a race to be the tallest one day I'll be and the next day she'd be, it's really funny actually...

You probably could care less about it...

Just think... Who is going to look like they haven't shrunk when they get older? You. Because there going to be really small. and you'll still be taller.

You can always reach top shelves. (In walmart I have to go shopping with my friend cause she can't reach anything no one in her family can)

Your going to stop now I figure. Maybe go to 58 1/2.

thats not that tall, and you should stop growing soon, but im a guy and im 15 and 6'1, i've heard girls stop growing around that age.

It's OK I am 5'8...and I love being taller than my friends.  It does take some growing into...pardon the pun...but you will learn to love the height you are.  I love being tall and I wouldn't want to be shorter in anyway.  5'8 is the perfect height for me.

I would say your done! I'm surprised you got this tall when your mom is 5'0 or shorter. You might grow another inch or even two based on the fact that you don't know your dads side of the family much. Its all hereditary and the possibility is there!!!

You are about maxed out. I was at my adult height at 16 as well.  Studies actually show that majority of women stop growing around the age of 16. You may gain another 1/4 inch or so.  I am about 5' 9.  Most men continue to grow until about 20.  And some even more! You are about the correct height now.

THere really is no telling how tall you will be but most likely you wont get taller than that....

and dont worry about being taller than your friends what difference does it make? I mean eventually you will stop growin and they will get taller and there wont be that mcuh of a difference

I would say you are lucky and probably take after your grandpa when he was younger. I stopped growing at around 11. I was always the tallest. My doctor was concerned about me when I was about 5 or 6 because I was already 4 foot 5. And then I stopped growing at 5 foot 4 and never grew another inch and everyone grew taller than me. I only have one friend that is shorter than me. I don't think you will grow anymore usually you stop growing around 16. And you should already feel confident about your height because you are the same height as most super models.
