2-  the correct answer is that no one can predict how tall anyone is going to be.

Height is 90 percent inherited, but poor nutrition and stress can stunt growth.  If a boy's mother is short, however, she will probably have a short son. Conversely, if a girl's dad is tall, she will probably be tall as well. Apparently, the opposite-sexed parent most determines a child's height, although his or her stature will probably be a combined of the two parents.  Earlier maturing boys and girls are closer to their adult height than late maturing boys and girls of the same age.

That said--here are two mathematical formulas to arrive at an educated guess of how tall you may be when you reach your full height:

1)  In both sexes, double the height that you were when you were two-years-old.

or

2)  For boys: take your father's height and add five inches, then add to this your mother's height.  Finally, take this sum and divide it by two.

Example:  dad is 5'11" and mom is 5"6.  5.11 + 5 = 6.4 + 5.6 = 12.0/2 = 6.0.  

For girls: Take dad's height minus five inches, plus mom's height; take this sum and divide by two.  

Example: dad is 5'10 and mom is 5'4:  5.10 - 5 = 5.5 +5.4 = 10.9/2 = 5.4 1/2

Note: This formula worked about right for me.  My dad was 5'11", and my mom was 5'8".  5'11" - 5 = 5.6 + 5.8 = 11.4/2 = 5.7.  I'm 5 foot 6 and 3/4 inches tall.
