Uhm, Cyanide pills aren't that hard to get ahold of or create, and the idea is to make sure that the enemy doesn't know you have one.

Anyone with basic lab equipment could make a variation on it.

Cyanide pills are history.  Nowadays they blow themselves up.  With cyanide, only the bad guy dies; if he or she blows self up, he/she can take as many with him/her as possible.

If one were to opt for cyanide capsules, the caps can be sewn into a shirt collar, hidden in a watch band, stuck in a hat band (yes, some people still wear hats other than baseball caps) or in one's shoes or in one's belt.

I cannot see how they can get them after they have been caught by the police.  I hope you are not considering a brief career in this.
