How the 2011-2012 playoffs’ picture will be different from the last NBA season? (Part-4)
Orlando Magic:
Orlando Magic is certainly a very talented side and has always showed great temperament at every stage of the competition for several years. Last season, brought a very good opportunity to the Magic but they could not make much
of that opportunity. The Magic played a wonderful regular season but fell short in the playoffs in the very first round.
The Magic qualified as number fourth seed from the Eastern Conference but plying in the post season against the Atlanta Hawks proved lethal for them. They lost in the very first round by the Hawks and the only star player who performed
tremendously for the Magic was Dwight Howard. He was unstoppable during the entire competition.
Howard wanted to continue his brilliant form into the post season but his other teammates could not play well as the Magic had only able to play just six games of 2011 playoffs. Dwight Howard played those six games with tremendous
commitment and tried his best to help the Magic advance further in the playoffs. He averaged 27.0 points and 15.50 rebounds per game.
Seeing the last season’s performance, the Magic can do well in the next season and reaching the playoffs will be an easy task for its team.
Miami Heat:
The most disappointed team of 2010-2011 season is certainly Miami Heat. Progressed into the playoffs as potential winners of Larry O’ Brien trophy, the Heat could not sustain the pressure and lost by the Dallas Mavericks in the
NBA finals.
Though, they had a brilliant regular and post season, but still finished behind the Dallas Mavericks. The trio of LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh were unable to stop the Mavericks’ thrust that smoothly outclassed them
and won the best of seven NBA finals series 4-2 in style.
Comparing to the last season’s performance, the Heat has still a very good chance to do well in the next season. Its entire roster knows as they had to put some more effort next season to achieve its desired goals. The Heat will
easily prevail in the playoffs’ next year but some basketball experts are saying as this will be hard journey for them as every other NBA team is also preparing hard for the next season.
Boston Celtics:
The Boston Celtics’ current aging roster will not help them greatly in the next season. Last season was virtually the last chance for Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen to show some athleticism on the court. They played and
overall did well for their team but on the other hand could not lead the Celtics in the final stages of the post season.
However, Rajon Rondo is an emerging player in the Celtics’ side and if he stays healthy, he can be very lethal for every opponent in the league. Boston finished third in the last regular season and won total 56 games with a winning
average of 0.683.
