I have a beam of 10 m and that beam has self wait of 100 kg and this is resting on 10 point load at 10 different location. How will I calculate the 10 different vertical reaction. I need the detail method of getting solution.

  1. For the exact reactions you need a beam analysis program.  It can be done by hand, but is way to complicated to describe here.  However, if the only load is the self weight, it is hardly worthwhile to do any fancy analysis.  For all practical purposes, you will be close enough if you divide each span in half, and add the weight of each half span to the nearest support.  Even simpler, just divide the weight by ten.  Ten kg per support is probably close enough. for a quick and dirty design.

  2. wait is spelt weight and load will be self weight and/or any induced live loads distributed between points of support. If a beam was supported at 1 metre intervals the support load would be 100 kg for the intermediate supports and 50 kg for the end supports but if you have 10 supports for a 10 m beam the loads will be 111.111 kg for intermediate supports (9 No) and 55.555 kg for end supports (2 No)
