He was not elected twice, he was appointed president by the supreme court the first time. The second time people were still scared from 911 and thought it was better to keep that cowboy attitude but little did they know that Bush was a pirate.

He got more electoral votes than his opponents.  It's a pretty simple concept.

Maybe the Dems should try nominating someone who can actually win for a change.  It's not like Bush was such an extraordinary candidate, it was the fact that the Dems ran two pitiful candidate who were pre-destined to lose.

WELL, for the same reason that some people said they would re elect him a third time if he could run.. idiocracy.. stupidity..no common sense.. Some people will vote Republican no matter how bad of shape our country gets in. I still think he only got elected cause of who his father is.. he sure has no common sense to have graduated from the top university in the world. Electoral college vote is typically representative of the popular vote.  People wanted a leader they knew could keep them safe.  He has delivered on that promise.  That in short is how and why he was elected and subsequently reelected.
