How the h**l can people switch from Obama to McCain so quickly now that he has Palin??

alot of people on here are like 'well I was diehard Obama and Hillary fan but then Palin came and so now Ive switched'

wtf! their views are so unbelievably differant I dont understand how anyone could change their views on EVERYTHING that quickly..

  4. People, all humans, can easily be manipulated by FEAR on one hand and a carrot in he other.   Both parties promise everything the masses want to hear, Both parties so what they darn well please.

    You want change?  Start by not being so much a consumer.

    Start with yourself...all 380 million of us.


  5. I haven't seen that many switchers - just about as many that switched to McCain as switched to Obama when Palin was picked.

    You would find as well that a lot that say they switched actually have been for McCain all along.

    Many are realizing that the hope and change that they wanted, was personal, and not represented by Obama.

    We do need change, but he sure as heck is not going to give that to us.

    This woman will fight anyone, reguardless of parties.

    Oh, regarding your other answer about Republicans "wanting to keep things the same" -- it's the Republicans who want to change our energy policy by starting to drill in places where the Dems, so far, have not allowed us.

    The Dems have stalled and done nothing on the issue, while our gas prices have gone through the roof.

    And you still want to say that the Dems are about "change" while the Reps are about "sameness"?    Come on now.

  9. I don't think many people are, actually. I think it's a small but vocal percentage. They probably didn't switch from Obama to McCain but rather they were leaning toward McCain to begin with and the Palin clinched the deal for them. You are right. While the McCain that ran in 2000 might have tempted centrist Dems, this new GOP-upped McCain isn't going to do it. And Palin is so far away from being a centrist that it's ridiculous. Nobody who supported Obama would support that woman.



  10. I don’t think the people are switching, they were on hold for Sarah’s speech. Many Reagan democrats who liberals might call red necks, racists, are really hard working individuals who needed someone like Sarah Palin on the McCain ticket to give them a reason for voting for him. The republican base is not limited to only conservative republicans, but conservative democrats. They have come home and the liberal democrats are enraged over this.

    Its my prediction that McCain will not only win this election, but win it in a landslide not unlike when Reagan won in the 80’s.

    I've been supporting McCain since he announced that he would be running in this election. Palin was a good choice though and if she manages to help win people over for McCain, then more power to him. It proves that he made a smart decision.
