How the h**l did I miss Phelps (NBC)???

Question

Argh. It's 10:51 here. PST. According to some websites, he won #8 around an hour ago. An hour ago NBC was showing women's marathon, and saying "Phelps, live, up at 10!" then "Phelps, going for medal number 8, live at 10:55!" And now I find out he already won it an hour ago? Then why the h**l does NBC keep saying "LIVE at 10:55?" Argh. I'm so pissed I didn't see it live.....

Don't worry, NBC will replay the highlights overnight and tomorrow morning.

I was glued to the TV today watching the Olympics.  There were so many wonderfull gold winners today, and not all were from the US.

it's 11:22pm on the west coast and phelps won his 8th at 11:10pm. at 9pm yahoo reported that he got his 8th gold medal.

They will show it.  It will be on sometime tomorrow.  NBC wouldn't let this pass without showing it.  They are just dragging it out.

Because they keep drawing it out to keep us watching. I watched it around 8 pm on the Canadian channel. The NBC coverage SUCKS!! I'd really like to watch a woman's soccer game, but they have not been showing them. What they do show us is always delayed, we never get to see anything live. All we get is "coming up Michael Phelps goes for 8". Which goes for hours until they randomly decide to show it to us.

It was broadcast live at 10:55 Eastern Time.

That would have been ... what, 7:55 for you, PST?

The whole time-thing is so confusing.  I guess I'm kinda lucky, because calculating it isn't so difficult for me (the time difference is exactly 12 hours for us in the Eastern Time Zone), but it still just feels wrong that I'm watching (live) on Saturday night what is actually happening on Sunday morning .....

It's not broadcast really live at least in San Francisco.You can see the winning times on Wikipedia athlete entries hours before they show the "live" broacast on TV.

Because NBC has  ******* you over. That "Live at 10:55" was 10:55 EST. I'm EST and that when I saw it. They then recorded everything, so as to replay it for you.

Someone else on your side of the country has pointed out that you guys are getting snubbed.

It's taking place Eastern and Central time already. It's probably showing in mountain time right now.
