Ignore these idiots.

Find something to use as stumps (MIlk crates are good), find a flat bat (or if you want to be really retro 18th century style use a [field] hockey stick) and a tennis ball wrapped in tape (a baseball would do as well). You'll also need at least 13 players (11 fielders and two batsmen)

Place the stumps about 22 yards apart and have a batsman at each end.  Ignore LBW for now as a method for getting out and concentrate on bowling, catching and running out as methods for dismissal.  Have each of the fielding side take turns bowling (with a straight arm, under-, round- or over arm) at the batsmen.  Runs can be scored by running between the stumps or for hitting to or over the boudary (4 if it bounces before and 6 if it clears) or if in a confined areas have specific targets for certain runs.

c**p explanation I know but more helpful than the Indians who think they are the best in the world at it but are only paid attention to because their board bullies all the others because they are the richest board.  The Aussies are the best and always have been although the west indies used to give a good thrashing for twenty odd years.
